WHY PERSONAL LIFE COACHING?

Even the most successful professionals occasionally find their satisfaction in life limited by issues that impact their lives. Some examples might be:

  1. Stressful / counterproductive interpersonal dynamics, professional or personal
  2. Feelings of being stuck in an unsatisfying place in your life
  3. Conflicted feelings about your current role or life direction
  4. Discomfort with or avoidance of pressing issues
  5. Challenges with Life-Work balance
  6. Diminished self-confidence triggered by events or people
  7. Difficulty connecting with / feeling separate from an important constituent group

WHAT IS PERSONAL COACHING?

Personal coaching is partnering with a coach in a thought-provoking and creative process designed to identify and actualize your “center,” personal and professional. It is time-bound, action-based, results-oriented, and focused on development, leaving clients more courageous, free, and joyful. It is confidential. It is NOT therapy. Coaching is about THE FUTURE, not the past; It is a process of identifying objectives and practices that constitute an actionable path forward, beginning today. The purpose of coaching is growth.

About me

Rick Railsback

The transformational work in LFP is done in partnership between the client and Rick. Rick brings over 40 years of experience in diverse operating roles to his personal and executive coaching practice. Rick leverages this breadth of experience into results-oriented support for professionals. While Rick’s professional profile as a coach is clearly differentiated by his business experience, Rick’s coaching is every bit as effective in addressing life issues as professional issues. Rick’s background uniquely enables him to understand beliefs and behaviors that can have broad-ranging effects in one’s professional and/or personal life. ... An important value informing Rick’s coaching practice is expressed in the New Ventures West philosophy of coaching. Specifically, NVW believes that a coach must be actively involved in his/her own personal development to bring integrity to the process of assisting another person in their development. Another important part of NVW’s coaching strategy instilled in Rick is that of inviting clients into practices that are self-adjusting, self-generating, and create a pathway to higher levels of competence in life skills. Rick’s engagements are confidential. Each is a results-oriented, systematic process in which he facilitates the enhancement of life experience and goal-attainment in the personal and/or professional lives of normal, non-clinical clients. In addition to 40 years of business experience, Rick is Certified by the International Coach Federation, a Certified Integral Coach and has certifications in Emotional Intelligence and Hogan assessment tools. He has coached CEO’s and their direct reports, i.e. CHRO’s, CFO’s and Group Presidents as well as mid-career professionals at the Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development.

HOW COACHING HELPS

By focusing on growth

Changing Perspective

You find a new perspective on yourself with which you can step into the world every day. You deepen your understanding of what it is that is truly unique about you, at your core, and how to leverage that uniqueness into your life.

Overcoming Obstacles

Growth work is not a straight line. We work with you when you encounter obstacles in your growth trajectory. We help you to identify practices that allow you to move through these obstacles.

Developmental Edge

We will help you identify and work at or beyond your "developmental edge," allowing you to effectively utilize your strongest positive qualities to work beyond it and achieve fuller expression of yourself.

INTEGRAL COACHING

Establishing the connection between an individual's essence and their happiness.
